Sticky Points Deformer allows to snap/deform points and/or geometries on the surface of an animated geometry by using it as deform cage. **This allows to:** -Transfer the animation/deformation of a low-res geometry to its hi-res version. -Transfer the animation of a reference object to a copy of the same object (or part of it) having different topology. -Transfer the motion of a reference object to FX geometries created on it. -Transfer the animation of a character to his clothes. -Snap/rivet points and objects on the animated geometry. **Main features:** -Written in VEX: Fast, stable, multithreaded, compatible. -Based on efficient algorithms, can handle very hi-res geometries. -Optional creation of "orient" point attribute, useful when is needed the orientation/rotation of the deformed point (for example, when the deformed points have to be used with a Copy SOP to instance some objects). **-How to use it?** It has three inputs: 1. Geometry (or points) to deform. 2. Reference (static) geometry to use as static cage. 3. Deforming geometry to use as animated cage (must have the same topology of the second input). **-There is already a PointDeform SOP in Houdini, why should I use this instead?** PointDeform has weighted deformations and works bad with scaling (please look at the third screenshot). In addition, in many cases a non-weighted deformation that preserves the relative position of each point to the closest face can be the best choice. **-Features coming next:** Automatic generation of transform matrices. Wider compatibility.
