This node moving points across a surface so that the polygons are equilateral without increasing the number of points or edges.

This node cycles through the geometry through 2 operations.

1. It seeks to move the points so that the polygons become equilateral.
2. It moves the points to the nearest position on the old geometry.

Using TriPseudoRelax

You can submit geometry to first input, and also specify a mask or group limiting the influence of the node. Points that belong to Unshared edges will be excluded automatically. The process of achieving equal angles of a polygons is not always predictable, so the exact number of iterations required to achieve the result is selected manually for each specific case. Typically 2000 iterations is enough for most simple situations.

About performance

During the relaxation process, this asset uses Open Cl. Therefore, relaxation performance will largely depend on your video card.

For example, the process of relaxing a mesh of 1.5 million polygons is processed with 2000 iterations in 2 seconds when using an Nvidia GTX 1060 (~80W) laptop video card. It should be noted that in addition to the relaxation process, there are also some preparatory steps that are performed once on the processor. Depending on the settings you use, on a 1.5 million polygon mesh they can run in 2-4 seconds on an Intel i7 8750H - 6 cores (fixed PL 2 - 45W)
